Dr. Alice Zacharia, DClinPsy
Clinical Psychologist offering in-person and online support to adults, children, adolescents and families

About me
I am a registered clinical psychologist authorised to practice in both the UK and France. I have experience working with a wide range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, difficulties coping in the face of significant physical health conditions, and difficulties following traumatic experiences. I have worked with individuals of all ages, from young children right up to people in their eighties. I have also worked extensively with individuals with neurodiversity (autism and ADHD), as well as those considering whether this might be the case for them.
I use a range of different therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), compassion focused therapy (CFT), and narrative therapy. I recognise that each person needs an individual approach that is suited to their particular needs and goals. I strive to work collaboratively with clients, and to help them to build on their existing strengths and resources.
I received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) from University College London in 2023. I also hold a Masters degree (MSc) from University College London in Clinical Mental Health Sciences. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychological and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Cambridge. I have also published several scientific articles in journals such as The Lancet, Frontiers in Psychiatry, and the Journal of Personality Disorders.

I know that it doesn’t always feel easy or straightforward to find the “right” therapist for you or your child. That’s why I offer a free 15-minute video consultation — this is a chance for you to share your hopes for therapy and for me to explain more about my approach.
